NEOVIGIE improves worker safety with a complete SaaS alert solution that guarantees protection of collected data

Innovative lone worker safety systems for physical and mental security of employees while respecting private data in accordance with privacy policies.

NEOVIGIE has been established to offer a global alert solution and reinforce employee's security in companies with the most easy-to-use and most attractive device to get a global adoption.

Europe has long since introduced legislation to regulate health and safety at work (Directive 89/391/EEC). NEOVIGIE project has been supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) because it contributes to risk prevention by making workers safer, in particularly lone workers. Search for productivity has generated a significant number of lone workers since the financial crisis of 2008.

In accordance with article R4512-13 of the French Labour Code when an operation is carried out at night or in an isolated place or at a time when the activity of the user company is interrupted, the employer shall take necessary measures. Employer must ensure that no worker works alone at a point where he or she could not be rescued in the event of an accident.

In order to meet these safety requirements for companies and their employees, NEOVIGIE implemented a solution to ensure supervision and assistance in the event of an accident for lone workers. The solution is the result of nearly two years of research and development by NEOVIGIE engineers and technicians and consist as:

• A secure platform, hosted in the "cloud" in SAAS mode (Software as a Service) and operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which allows the supervision of employee activity at any time;
• Two warning systems: a lone worker safety application for smartphone and an alert device.

While collection of personal data, such as locations of workers in distress, is essential for security, the NEOVIGIE solution complies with privacy policies.It also complies with recommendations of the General Security Reference (RGS) to ensure data protection from cyber-attacks. The architecture of the solution is both "Private by design" and "Secure by design"; a guarantee of methods involving compliance with strict rules for data transmitted, collected and stored.
